Septarian

Septarian is formed in the mud of seabeds and washes up onto beaches in Madagascar, Morocco and New Zealand. Because it has been sat on a seabed for a long time, occasionally very special pieces are found that contain fossilised coral.

As septarian contains aragonite, it helps you connect to mother nature and can be used to focus healing to specific areas of the earth. It is a stone of caring; as well as reminding you to take time for self care, it is useful to have around if you are finding that caring for others is becoming a burden. It is a harmonising stone, helping you to balance emotions and overactive thinking. It is a soothing crystal to meditate with if you are trying to change your thought patterns or behaviours. It works with the sacral chakra so can be useful in creative pursuits, helping you to bring your ideas into action. It is also helpful in facilitating group discussion, particularly in spiritual or healing groups. Septarian is a very special stone that has spent years in the ocean being gently washed by the tides. It therefore cannot be mined, and we don’t really have any control over how much will become available. If you are lucky enough to have a piece, cherish it and keep it safe.
